Queens

If each New York City borough were an independent city, Queens would be America's fourth most populous city, after Los Angeles, Chicago, and Brooklyn. The neighborhoods of Queens are organized into 14 Community Boards. Queens hosts various museums and cultural institutions that serve its diverse communities.
Queens was formed in 1683, as one of the original 12 counties of New York State and was named in honor of the Queen Consort, Catherine of Braganza, wife of Carlos II.
Queens is connected to the Bronx by the Bronx Whitestone Bridge.
